I'm not disagreeing - in fact, I think I can provide examples of what you might mean - but can you explain further?

The redistricting aspects of the Reform Michigan Government Now proposal will undo the work of our local party.

How do you see that playing out?

Ya know, if some Republican lobbyists want to give the Party money to help our nominee for the 29th Senate District in 2010 because they're afraid we're going to win the seat and control of the Michigan Senate and they want to play both sides of the fence, then, OK, let's see some cash!
Just as long as we don't listen too hard to their views if they conflict with our values.

of WMR under "West Michigan Progressive Organizations"
Allegan CDP's website is back up: http://www.allegandems.org/
The county parties in West MI without websites are:
Barry, Lake, Mason, Oceana, St. Joseph, and Wexford.
That needs to get changed ASAP, what they need is a smart volunteer as the MDP isn't particularly helpful in helping county parties set up an internet presence.

Lubbers tried this just before he left. He then denied that DeVos had influenced his decision to abandon his plan. DeVos of course was proud that he got his buddy Lubbers to give up his plan so right after Lubber denied Dick had anything to do with it Dick hung Lubbers out to dry by bragging about getting Lubbers to give it up.
I forgot this is where Engler stuck his old buddy Lucille after many years of dedicated boot licking. Maybe when Cliff gets the boot this fall they can both get a job with Engler in D.C. and get the hell out of Michigan before they ruin it.

Actually living in sin
is against the law. It is considered a high court misdemeanor, punishable by up to a year in the pokey.
This, by the way, is the law that Cox violated when he had his affair. So, riddle me this: Why is Meekhof asking Cox (of all people) for an opinion? I guess it is good to get a lawyer with experience, if you know what I mean.
OK. Here is the real kicker: people normally think these laws are relics of some distant Victorian sentiment. Not true. While a version of this law was first passed in 1931 (apparently the onset of the Great Depression left people with a little too much time on their hands), it was amended most recently in 2002 to increase the fine from $ 500.00 to $ 1000.00. Who sponsored this legislation? Not other than Rep. Kootchie-Koo, Judge Yates current "opponent".
The bill passed 107-1 in the House and 34-0 in the Senate, and was, of course, signed by Gov. "One cheesburger to many for Hue" Engler. So, when people say that politicians don't have a fucking clue, we can prove it here in Michigan.
Ray Roberts

While Ray may not have experience within the Kalamazoo Sheriff's Office, he does have experience as a Kalamazoo Township Reserve Officer, Kalamazoo Township Dispatcher, Cooper Township Ordinance officer, and 3 years as Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He has been involved with public safety for 20 years, the same amount of time as his competitor.
Since Ray's announcement in March, Ray has highlighted his campaign platform in detail on his website, including his most important issue of fiscal responsibility, along with restructuring the jail, jail overcrowding, the creation of an inmate work to release program (see the Gazette Article), the increase of sheriff's deputies, department transparency, and a more grassroots based method of policing through community watch programs.
The gazette article does a great job in discussing his plan for the jail and the inmate release program. Ray's number one issue is Fiscal Responsibility. Upon being elected, Ray will make it a point to do an audit of the budget to eliminate unnecessary spending and to focus tax dollars on issues pertaining to jail reform and increasing deputies on the streets.
Ray's campaign in currently on the move to set unprecedented benchmarks, having already knocked on far more than 6,000 doors in Kalamazoo County, and is on the way to hitting half of the precincts in the County.
Beginning this Sunday Ray is featured on the Community Access Channel's "Taking Back the Village" with host Earnest Spencer. You can watch the interview at the following link:
http://www.archive.org/details...
If you want to learn more about Ray's platform please visit his website at http://www.rayrobertsforsherif...
